Musicians:

Ruslan Biryukov
In a recent reviews of his performances, The Beverly Hills Outlook wrote:  “Ruslan Biryukov is an astonishing young cellist,” while www.reviewplays.com wrote:  “To say his performance was incredible would not do it justice.”
Since the age of 11 he has performed professionally, starting in 1995 when he began playing up to 150 performances annually as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world, including countries in the former USSR, in Europe, and in the United States.
As a chamber musician he has appeared with world-renowned violinist, Midori at Disney Hall in Los Angeles, with cellist Kirill Rodin,
and with members of the Ysave Quartet.
He is the only cello soloist to be invited for eight years in a row to perform solo recitals at LACMA’s Sunday’s Live Concert Series broadcast live on the radio and online. He is the only Russian Cello Soloist invited to perform during the opening season of the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Orange County, CA.  He first earned international recognition by winning major awards in Azerbaijan and by having his name included in the Gold Book of Russia’s international program “New Names.”  Biryukov has gone on to win numerous other awards worldwide,
including First Prize in the 17th Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition.
Biryukov is the Founder of the Glendale Philharmonic Orchestra and the Producer and Artistic Director of “Positive Motions” Concert Series.

Garik Terzian

Beverly Hills Chamber Orchestra and South Bay Chamber Orchestra.
He is a member of Los Angeles based award winning Elixir Piano Trio.
Mr. Terzian began to study cello at the age of six with his father in former Chekoslovakia.
Mr. Terzian continued his music education at Babadjanian College of Music, followed by the Yerevan State Conservatory with professor Alexander Chaoushian and Varoujan Bartikian.
Awarded a merit scholarship from the University of Southern California, he continued his education at USC's Thornton School of Music under the direction of distinguished professor Ronald Leonard, where he received Master of Music Degree in Cello Performance.
Mr. Terzian has performed in Aram Khachaturian Music Festival in Spain and the Chamber Music Festival in Dublin, Ireland.
He is the First Place winner of the Young Musicians Competition and Armenian Philharmonic Concerto Competition both in Yerevan, Armenia.
Mr. Terzian has made number of recordings for Television and Radio Stations in the former Soviet Union, United States and Mexico.

Lars Hoefs
Proudly hailing from Appleton, WI, cheesehead-cellist Lars Hoefs received a Doctorate studying cello with Ronald Leonard at the University of Southern California where he was teaching assistant for the Contemporary Music Ensemble, winner of LA Weekly’s “Ensemble of the Year.”
Lars sweated through 2009 as Assistant Principal Cellist of the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira in Rio de Janeiro, where he researched Villa-Lobos and performed tango and solo Bach with dancers for the annual Rio International Cello Encounters when not dodging soccer balls and bikinis on Copacabana beach.
2010 highlights included an all-Chopin recital on TV Brasil, festivals in England and Germany, the inaugural season of the California Quartet’s Connections Chamber Music Series, and the release of a Villa-Lobos album with pianist Rose Chen.
